Workers' remittances paid reached 4.07 USD mil in 2017 in Sierra Leone, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 41.9 % less than in the previous year.

Historically, workers' remittances paid in Sierra Leone reached an all time high of 20.6 USD mil in 2011 and an all time low of 0.001 USD mil in 1998. When compared to Sierra Leone's main peers, workers' remittances paid in Burkina Faso amounted to 199 USD mil, 27.8 USD mil in Guinea, 316 USD mil in Liberia and 155 USD mil in Mali in 2017.

Sierra Leone has been ranked 155th within the group of 157 countries we follow in terms of workers' remittances paid, 14 places behind the position seen 10 years ago.
