There are many similarities and differences among teachers around the world. In almost all countries teachers are educated at a university or college. Governments may require certification by a recognised body before they can teach in a school.
In many countries, an elementary school education certificate is earned after the completion of high school. The high school student follows a specialised education track, completes the required "student-teaching" time, and receives a special diploma to begin teaching after graduation
