Raiffeisenbank Austria Zagreb (or Raiffeisenbank Croatia) is the fifth largest bank in Croatia with a 9% market share by assets. From a greenfield start-up back in 1994 as the first foreign bank in the country, the bank has grown into a significant player serving more than 475,000 clients through 76 branches. The Bank offers a typical range of banking services and products for retail as well as corporate segment, but provides also investment banking and treasury services, asset management, private banking, or leasing, for example. The Bank is effectively a 100% subsidiary of Raiffeisen Bank International AG (RBI), which is one of the biggest players in the emerging Europe. The bank now operates in 17 different countries, employes about 60,000 people and services approximatelly 14.4 million customers through more than 3,100 branches.
