Bank BPH's non-performing loans reached 5.90% of total loans at the end of 2015, down from 9.40% compared to the previous year. Historically, the NPL ratio hit an all time high of 11.7% in 2013 and an all time low of 5.90% in 2015.

Provision coverage amounted to 87.3% at the end of 2015, down from 87.4% compared to a year earlier.

The bank created loan loss provisions worth of 0.200% of average loans in 2015. That's compared to 0.629% of loans the bank put aside to its cost on average in the last five years.

Comparing Bank BPH with its closest peers, PKO BP operated at the end of 2015 with NPL ratio of 6.59% and provision coverage of 63.3%, Pekao SA with 6.53% and 71.9% respectively and ING Bank Slaski had 3.06% of bad loans covered with 68.2% by provisions at the end of 2015.
