Central Cooperative Bank's non-performing loans reached 10.3% of total loans at the end of 2015, up from 2.02% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the NPL ratio hit an all time high of 12.6% in 2006 and an all time low of 2.02% in 2014.
Provision coverage amounted to 25.6% at the end of 2015, down from 87.9% compared to a year earlier.
The bank created loan loss provisions worth of 1.44% of average loans in 2015. That's compared to 0.721% of loans the bank put aside to its cost on average in the last five years.
When compared to bank's main peers, United Bulgarian Bank operated at the end of 2015 with NPL ratio of 19.3% and provision coverage of 78.8% and Raiffeisenbank Bulgaria with 11.0% and 66.3% respectively.
