Expenditure of international tourism as a percentage of total imports fell 47.9% to 4.25% in Cyprus in 2020, according to Eurostat.

Historically, expenditure of international tourism as a percentage of total imports in Cyprus reached an all time high of 13.3% in 2007 and an all time low of 4.25% in 2020. When compared to Cyprus's main peers, expenditure of international tourism as a percentage of total imports in Egypt amounted to 3.56%, 2.09% in Greece, 2.27% in Israel and 0.712% in Turkey in 2020.
