Historically, expenditure of international tourism as a percentage of total imports in Mexico reached an all time high of 6.41% in 1995 and an all time low of 1.04% in 2020. When compared to Mexico's main peers, expenditure of international tourism as a percentage of total imports in Belize amounted to 2.44%, 1.80% in Guatemala, 2.32% in Honduras and 1.74% in USA in 2020.
