J&T Banka's non-performing loans reached 4.90% of total loans at the end of 2015, up from 0.511% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the NPL ratio hit an all time high of 14.1% in 2011 and an all time low of 0.511% in 2014.
Provision coverage amounted to 41.2% at the end of 2015, down from 273% compared to a year earlier.
The bank created loan loss provisions worth of 1.03% of average loans in 2015. That's compared to 0.948% of loans the bank put aside to its cost on average in the last five years.
When compared to bank's main peers, Ceska Sporitelna operated at the end of 2015 with NPL ratio of 3.82% and provision coverage of 73.0%, CSOB with 3.73% and 58.3% respectively and Komercni Banka had 4.20% of bad loans covered with 68.7% by provisions at the end of 2015.
