This translates into a net margin of 1.05%. Historically, the firm’s net margin reached an all time high of 3.25% in 2001 and an all time low of -9.32% in 2012. The average net margin in the last five years amounted to -2.71%.
On the operating level, EBITDA margin reached 3.61% and EBIT amounted to 8.44% of sales in 2015.
As far as PSA Peugeot Citroen's peers are concerned, Renault posted net and EBITDA margin of 6.23% and 10.7%, respectively in 2015, Volkswagen Group generated margins of -0.642% and 7.31% and Ford Motor Company's profit margin reached 4.93% on the net and 10.5% on the EBITDA level in 2015.
