Sberbank's capital adequacy ratio reached 12.6% at the end of 2015, up from 12.1% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s capital ratio hit an all time high of 18.9% in 2008 and an all time low of 10.1% in 2004.

The Tier 1 ratio amounted to 8.90% at the end of 2015, up from 8.60% compared to a year earlier.

Bank's loan to deposit ratio reached 94.6% at the end of 2015, down from 114% when compared to the previous year. Some 10 years ago, loan to deposit ratio of the bank amounted to 86.7%.

When compared to bank's main peers, VTB Bank ended the year 2015 with a capital adequacy ratio at 14.3% and loans to deposits of 130% and Alfa Bank with 21.7% and 114% respectively.
