Sberbank's capital adequacy ratio reached 14.7% at the end of 2020, up from 13.6% compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s capital ratio hit an all time high of 18.9% in 2008 and an all time low of 11.0% in 2004.

The Tier 1 ratio amounted to 14.3% at the end of 2020, up from 13.4% compared to a year earlier.

Bank's loan to deposit ratio reached 92.3% at the end of 2020, down from 94.5% when compared to the previous year. Some 10 years ago, loan to deposit ratio of the bank amounted to 82.6%.

Comparing Sberbank with its closest peers, VTB Bank ended the year 2020 with a capital adequacy ratio at 11.8% and loans to deposits of 90.7%.
