Based on a comparison of 50 countries in 2020, Slovakia ranked the highest in production of cars per 1,000 people with 185 vehicles followed by Czech Republic and Slovenia. On the other end of the scale was Australia with 0 vehicles, Bangladesh with 0 vehicles and Algeria with 0.018 vehicles.

Average production of cars per 1,000 people reached 7.41 vehicles in 2020 in the World according to ACEA. This is 21.1 % less than in the previous year and -13.8 % less than 10 years ago.
