Which Country Produces the Most Duck Meat?

Based on a comparison of 69 countries in 2022, China ranked the highest in duck meat production with 4,800,000 tonnes followed by Vietnam and France. On the other end of the scale was Seychelles with 6.41 tonnes, Belize with 15.1 tonnes and Papua New Guinea with 16.2 tonnes.

Total duck meat production reached 6,068,757 tonnes in 2022 in the World according to Faostat. This is 2.31 % less than in the previous year and 28.1 % more than 10 years ago.

Historically, total duck meat production reached an all time high of 6,209,141 tonnes in 2021 and an all time low of 335,922 tonnes in 1961. The average annual growth amounted to 4.86 % since 1961.

The top ranked country, China, accounted for 79.1 % of duck meat production in the world. The top 3 countries hold a 84.0 % share while the ten largest countries some 91.5 % in 2022.
