Consumer loans reached JPY 154,017 bil in 2021 in Japan, according to the National Central Bank. This is 7.59% more than in the previous year.
Historically, consumer loans in Japan reached an all time high of JPY 223,009 bil in 1996 and an all time low of JPY 119,671 bil in 2012.
