Based on a comparison of 28 countries in 2015, France ranked the highest in consumption of inorganic fertilizers - nitrogen with 2,200,536 tonnes followed by Germany and Spain. On the other end of the scale was Malta with 636 tonnes, Cyprus with 3,147 tonnes and Luxembourg with 12,714 tonnes.
