Flax fibre and tow production reached 147,938 tonnes in 2014 in the European Union, according to Faostat. This is 17.6% less than in the previous year.
Historically, flax fibre and tow production in the European Union reached an all time high of 262,520 tonnes in 1999 and an all time low of 76,297 tonnes in 1992.
