Virgin olive oil production reached 2,770 tonnes in 2014 in Iran, according to Faostat. This is 19.1% more than in the previous year.
Historically, virgin olive oil production in Iran reached an all time high of 4,048 tonnes in 2005 and an all time low of 330 tonnes in 1971.
Iran has been ranked 21st within the group of 33 countries we follow in terms of virgin olive oil production.
