Historically, value added of agriculture as a share of GDP in Namibia reached an all time high of 11.8% in 2000 and an all time low of 6.14% in 2013. When compared to Namibia's main peers, value added of agriculture as a share of GDP in Angola amounted to 8.85%, 2.74% in Botswana, 2.41% in South Africa and 12.8% in Zimbabwe in 2015.
Namibia has been ranked 82nd within the group of 153 countries we follow in terms of value added of agriculture as a share of GDP, 12 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
