Historically, bank deposits in Guatemala reached an all time high of USD 30.7 bil in 2017 and an all time low of USD 13.0 bil in 2009. When compared to Guatemala's main peers, bank deposits in Belize amounted to USD 1.32 bil, USD 1.42 bil in El Salvador, USD 13.1 bil in Honduras and USD 5.86 bil in Nicaragua in 2017.
