Bank loans as a share of GDP rose 21.6% to 29.6% in Mali in 2015, according to the National Central Bank.
Historically, bank loans as a share of GDP in Mali reached an all time high of 29.6% in 2015 and an all time low of 11.7% in 2005. When compared to Mali's main peers, bank loans as a share of GDP in Algeria amounted to 48.2%, 63.7% in Burkina Faso, 27.1% in Mauritania and 20.6% in Niger in 2015.
