Bank regulatory capital rose 15.1% to MGA 961 bil in Madagascar in 2019, according to the National Central Bank.

Historically, bank regulatory capital in Madagascar reached an all time high of MGA 961 bil in 2019 and an all time low of MGA 208 bil in 2006. When compared to Madagascar's main peers, bank regulatory capital in Mozambique amounted to MZN 84.9 bil, ZAR 505 bil in South Africa, SZL 3.38 bil in Swaziland and TNS 4,108 bil in Tanzania in 2019.
