Historically, bank regulatory capital in Romania reached an all time high of RON 52.1 bil in 2019 and an all time low of RON 7.07 bil in 2003. When compared to Romania's main peers, bank regulatory capital in Bulgaria amounted to BGN 13.3 bil, HUF 4,891 bil in Hungary, MDL 11.5 bil in Moldova and UAH 150 bil in Ukraine in 2019.
