Romanian banking sector accepted customer deposits of RON 303 bil in 2017, up 10.4% when compared to the last year.
BRD Groupe Societe Generale accounted for 14.6% of all customer deposits taken by banks in Romania at the end of 2017. Historically, the bank’s market share in customer deposits reached an all time high of 24.4% in 2008 and an all time low of 14.6% in 2017.
That's compared to a 12.9% market share the bank held in terms of total assets at the end of 2017.
