Historically, cereal production in Mongolia reached an all time high of 884 kt in 1985 and an all time low of 76.6 kt in 2005. When compared to Mongolia's main peers, cereal production in China amounted to 550,018 kt, 16,803 kt in Kazakhstan, 1,635 kt in Kyrgyzstan and 84,972 kt in Russia in 2015.
