Diesel-fuelled as a share of new cars sold fell 50.8% to 3.62% in Netherlands in 2020, according to ACEA.

Historically, diesel-fuelled as a share of new cars sold in Netherlands reached an all time high of 28.9% in 2015 and an all time low of 3.62% in 2020. When compared to Netherlands's main peers, diesel-fuelled as a share of new cars sold in Belgium amounted to 32.9%, 22.8% in Denmark, 28.1% in Germany and 16.0% in United Kingdom in 2020.
