Distillate fuel oil consumption rose 7.15% to 38.6 '000 bpd in Sri Lanka in 2015, according to EIA.

Historically, distillate fuel oil consumption in Sri Lanka reached an all time high of 40.9 '000 bpd in 2011 and an all time low of 10.6 '000 bpd in 1990. When compared to Sri Lanka's main peers, distillate fuel oil consumption in India amounted to 1,418 '000 bpd, 226 '000 bpd in Malaysia, 6.30 '000 bpd in Maldives and 39.4 '000 bpd in Myanmar in 2015.
