Historically, exports as a share of GDP in Sri Lanka reached an all time high of 0.390% in 2000 and an all time low of 0.153% in 2020. When compared to Sri Lanka's main peers, exports as a share of GDP in India amounted to 0.214%, 0.688% in Malaysia, 0.753% in Maldives and 0.283% in Myanmar in 2021.
