Female pupils in primary education as a share of total rose 0.118% to 50.8% in Tanzania in 2015, according to World Bank.

Historically, female pupils in primary education as a share of total in Tanzania reached an all time high of 50.8% in 2015 and an all time low of 39.4% in 1971. When compared to Tanzania's main peers, female pupils in primary education as a share of total in Kenya amounted to 49.6%, 47.7% in Mozambique, 50.1% in Uganda and 49.8% in Zambia in 2015.

Tanzania has been ranked 4th within the group of 149 countries we follow in terms of female pupils in primary education as a share of total, 21 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
