Fio banka's non-performing loans reached 11.8% of total loans at the end of 2017, up from 9.94% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the NPL ratio hit an all time high of 15.7% in 2013 and an all time low of 9.94% in 2016.

Provision coverage amounted to 32.7% at the end of 2017, up from 15.5% compared to a year earlier.

The bank created loan loss provisions worth of 2.89% of average loans in 2017. That's compared to 1.67% of loans the bank put aside to its cost on average in the last five years.

When compared to bank's main peers, Ceska Sporitelna operated at the end of 2017 with NPL ratio of 2.10% and provision coverage of 92.0%, CSOB with 2.37% and 65.0% respectively and Komercni Banka had 3.10% of bad loans covered with 61.7% by provisions at the end of 2017.
