Fixed broadband internet penetration based on connections as a percentage of population rose 12.8% to 22.2% in Russia in 2017, according to World Bank.

Historically, fixed broadband internet penetration based on connections as a percentage of population in Russia reached an all time high of 22.2% in 2017 and an all time low of 0% in 2000. When compared to Russia's main peers, fixed broadband internet penetration based on connections as a percentage of population in China amounted to 27.1%, 40.8% in Germany, 32.3% in Japan and 33.7% in USA in 2017.
