Historically, foreign debt in Rwanda reached an all time high of USD 6,211 bil in 2019 and an all time low of USD 2.00 bil in 1971. When compared to Rwanda's main peers, foreign debt in Burundi amounted to USD 578 bil, USD 19,584 bil in Tanzania, USD 13,971 bil in Uganda and USD 5,438 bil in Dem. Republic of the Congo in 2019.
