Historically, foreign debt in Ghana reached an all time high of USD 26,959 bil in 2019 and an all time low of USD 542 bil in 1971. When compared to Ghana's main peers, foreign debt in Benin amounted to USD 3,899 bil, USD 19,182 bil in Ivory Coast and USD 2,205 bil in Togo in 2019.
Ghana has been ranked 38th within the group of 110 countries we follow in terms of foreign debt, 15 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
