Historically, foreign debt in Nepal reached an all time high of USD 6,513 bil in 2019 and an all time low of USD 3.80 bil in 1970. When compared to Nepal's main peers, foreign debt in Bangladesh amounted to USD 57,088 bil, USD 2,703 bil in Bhutan, USD 2,114,163 bil in China and USD 560,035 bil in India in 2019.
