Historically, foreign debt in Nepal reached an all time high of USD 7,905 bil in 2020 and an all time low of USD 3.80 bil in 1970. When compared to Nepal's main peers, foreign debt in Bangladesh amounted to USD 67,749 bil, USD 2,869 bil in Bhutan, USD 2,349,389 bil in China and USD 564,179 bil in India in 2020.
