Historically, foreign trade as a share of GDP in Estonia reached an all time high of 171% in 2012 and an all time low of 117% in 2009. When compared to Estonia's main peers, foreign trade as a share of GDP in Finland amounted to 78.6%, 130% in Latvia, 156% in Lithuania and 52.2% in Russia in 2021.
