Excel Sheet

Solar photovoltaics is growing rapidly, albeit from a small base, to a total global capacity of 139 GW at the end of 2013. The total power output of the world’s PV capacity is equal to some 160 bil kWh of electricity a year. This is sufficient to cover the annual power supply needs of 40 mil households in the world, and represents 0.85% of worldwide electricity demand.

Thanks to a generous state subsidy, the Czech Republic become an important customer of photovoltaic panel producers, In 2010, the country operated nearly 5% of world's worldwide installed photovoltaic power (or 1,953 MW).

Due mainly to the solar boom, the cost of renewable energy sources (both, from the government as well as in the price for final consumers) have exceeded CZK 44 bil in 2013. There is more to come!
