HSBC generated total banking revenues of USD 13,355 mil in the third quarter of 2019, down 3.21% when compared to the same period of last year and 10.6% when compared to the previous quarter.
Historically, the bank’s revenues containing of interest, fee and other non-interest income reached an all time high of USD 18,845 mil in 1Q2012 and an all time low of USD 10,586 mil in 4Q2016. The average revenue in the last six quarters amounted to USD 13,800 mil.
Net interest income represented 56.7% of total revenues, fee income contributed 22.2% and other non-interest income added further 21.2% to the overall revenue generation in 3Q2019.
Bank's total revenues accounted for 1.96% total assets in the third quarter of 2019, down from 2.12% a year earlier.
