Based on a comparison of 18 banks in Serbia in 2016, Bank Intesa Serbia generated the largest revenues, followed by Komercijalna Banka Beograd and UniCredit Bank Serbia.

Bank Intesa Serbia reported total revenues of RSD 29,058 mil, down 6.16% compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s revenues containing of interest, fee and other non-interest income reached an all time high of RSD 57,149 mil in 2012 and an all time low of RSD 2,736 mil in 2002. The average revenue in the last five years amounted to RSD 35,157 mil.

Comparing Bank Intesa Serbia with its closest peers, Komercijalna Banka Beograd generated total revenues of RSD 20,440 mil, or 5.11% of assets in 2016, UniCredit Bank Serbia operated with RSD 16,818 mil total income, or 4.98% revenue margin and Raiffeisenbank Serbia produced total income worth RSD 15,094 mil, or 5.94% of assets.

Serbian banking sector generated total revenues of RSD 184,194 mil in 2016, up 0.378% when compared to the previous year. As a result, the top ranked company - Bank Intesa Serbia accounted for 15.8% of the sector’s total income in 2016. The top 3 companies held a 36.0% share while the five largest firms some 51.4% in 2016.
