Historically, infant mortality per 1,000 live births in Ukraine reached an all time high of 27.2 in 1971 and an all time low of 7.20 in 2019. When compared to Ukraine's main peers, infant mortality per 1,000 live births in Poland amounted to 3.80, 5.80 in Romania and 4.70 in Russia in 2019.
