Historically, expenditure of international tourism in El Salvador reached an all time high of USD 504 mil in 2019 and an all time low of USD 99.0 mil in 1995. When compared to El Salvador's main peers, expenditure of international tourism in Costa Rica amounted to USD 697 mil, USD 346 mil in Guatemala, USD 230 mil in Honduras and USD 102 mil in Nicaragua in 2020.
