Historically, expenditure of international tourism in Puerto Rico reached an all time high of USD 1,761 mil in 2008 and an all time low of USD 977 mil in 2015. When compared to Puerto Rico's main peers, expenditure of international tourism in Dominican Republic amounted to USD 941 mil, USD 485 mil in Haiti, USD 471 mil in Jamaica and USD 173,919 mil in USA in 2017.
