Czech banks reported a net profit of CZK 26,473 mil in the third quarter of 2022, up 35.4% when compared to previous year. This implies ROE of 16.3% in 3Q2022. In the last twelve months, profits rose 71.3% yoy to CZK 99,753 mil and ROE reached 14.5%.
Komercni Banka generated the largest net profit in the last quarter (CZK 4,707 mil) followed by CSOB and Ceska Sporitelna. At the other end of the scale was Max banka with a reported loss of CZK 54.2 mil.
The three largest banks created 48.7% of sector's total profit in the third quarter of 2022, down when compared to 49.1% seen three years ago. In terms of revenue and operating profit, the trio generated 57.8% and 55.7% of the total.
