Czech banks reported a net profit of CZK 81,775 mil in the third quarter of 2022, up 60.3% when compared to previous year. This implies ROE of 16.3% in 3Q2022. In the last twelve months, profits rose 64.0% yoy to CZK 230,206 mil and ROE reached 0.034%.
Komercni Banka generated the largest net profit in the last quarter (CZK 4,650 mil) followed by CSOB and Ceska Sporitelna. At the other end of the scale was Max banka with a reported loss of CZK 54.2 mil.
The three largest banks created 15.8% of sector's total profit in the third quarter of 2022, down when compared to 16.9% seen three years ago. In terms of revenue and operating profit, the trio generated 18.8% and 55.7% of the total.
