Historically, neonatal mortality per 1,000 live births in Bangladesh reached an all time high of 103 in 1960 and an all time low of 18.5 in 2019. When compared to Bangladesh's main peers, neonatal mortality per 1,000 live births in Bhutan amounted to 15.7, 3.70 in China, 21.4 in India and 22.9 in Myanmar in 2019.
