Historically, neonatal mortality per 1,000 live births in Armenia reached an all time high of 27.8 in 1977 and an all time low of 6.00 in 2019. When compared to Armenia's main peers, neonatal mortality per 1,000 live births in Azerbaijan amounted to 10.4, 5.20 in Georgia, 8.60 in Iran and 5.30 in Turkey in 2019.
