Number of fixed broadband internet connections rose 36.8% to 1.22 mil in Sri Lanka in 2017, according to World Bank.

Historically, number of fixed broadband internet connections in Sri Lanka reached an all time high of 1.22 mil in 2017 and an all time low of 0 mil in 2000. When compared to Sri Lanka's main peers, number of fixed broadband internet connections in India amounted to 17.9 mil, 2.69 mil in Malaysia, 0.036 mil in Maldives and 0.405 mil in Myanmar in 2017.

Sri Lanka has been ranked 65th within the group of 152 countries we follow in terms of number of fixed broadband internet connections, 18 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
