Number of motor vehicles rose 7.48% to 6.90 mil in Syria in 2015, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, number of motor vehicles in Syria reached an all time high of 6.90 mil in 2015 and an all time low of 3.58 mil in 2005. When compared to Syria's main peers, number of motor vehicles in Iraq amounted to 3.90 mil, 1.13 mil in Jordan, 0.683 mil in Lebanon and 15.4 mil in Turkey in 2015.
