Passenger cars per 1,000 people rose 1.55% to 15.4 vehicles in Pakistan in 2019, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, passenger cars per 1,000 people in Pakistan reached an all time high of 15.4 vehicles in 2019 and an all time low of 8.93 vehicles in 2005. When compared to Pakistan's main peers, passenger cars per 1,000 people in Afghanistan amounted to 39.4 vehicles, 115 vehicles in China, 19.7 vehicles in India and 175 vehicles in Iran in 2019.
