Historically, price of cigarettes as a percentage of average U.S. price in India reached an all time high of 36.8% in 2014 and an all time low of 26.2% in 2008. When compared to India's main peers, price of cigarettes as a percentage of average U.S. price in Bangladesh amounted to 19.9%, 23.3% in China, 9.95% in Pakistan and 107% in Sri Lanka in 2016.
