Historically, price of cigarettes as a percentage of average U.S. price in Pakistan reached an all time high of 9.95% in 2016 and an all time low of 5.02% in 2008. When compared to Pakistan's main peers, price of cigarettes as a percentage of average U.S. price in Afghanistan amounted to 6.84%, 23.3% in China, 36.7% in India and 9.02% in Iran in 2016.
