Production of passenger cars fell 19.2% to 1,153 thousand in the Czech Republic in 2020, according to ACEA.

Historically, production of passenger cars in the Czech Republic reached an all time high of 1,437 thousand in 2018 and an all time low of 164 thousand in 1988. When compared to Czech Republic's main peers, production of passenger cars in Austria amounted to 105 thousand, 406 thousand in Hungary, 279 thousand in Poland and 985 thousand in Slovakia in 2020.
