Public spending on education as a share of GDP rose 5.61% to 2.71% in Armenia in 2020, according to World Bank.

Historically, public spending on education as a share of GDP in Armenia reached an all time high of 3.84% in 2009 and an all time low of 1.85% in 1996. When compared to Armenia's main peers, public spending on education as a share of GDP in Azerbaijan amounted to 4.33%, 3.85% in Georgia, 3.59% in Iran and 3.36% in Turkey in 2020.
